Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Expedite Wildlife Tours guide and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or enjoy a quiet evening by Lake Victoria as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Shoebill Tracking & Transfer to Kibale National Park
Begin the day with an early excursion to Mabamba Swamp, one of the best places in Africa to spot the rare Shoebill stork. Glide through papyrus channels in a traditional canoe while searching for this iconic bird and other wetland species. After the excursion, embark on a scenic drive west to Kibale National Park, passing tea plantations and rolling hills.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
This morning, head into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale is known as the primate capital of East Africa, home to 13 primate species. Spend time observing chimpanzees as they feed, groom, and interact in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area rich in birdlife and monkeys. The walk supports local livelihoods and offers
insight into traditional rural life.

​​​Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse savannah park.
Arrive in time to relax at your lodge or enjoy optional scenic views of crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains.
Highlight: Chance to see 4/5 of the big 5 in one game drive

Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start your day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Expect sightings of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hyenas, and possibly lions.
In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel is renowned for its high concentration of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife.
Highlight: 4/5 big 5 and lots of other charismatic animals

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi & Visit Pangolin Rescue Center
After breakfast, journey south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
En route or upon arrival, visit the Pangolin Rescue Center to learn about efforts to protect one of the world’s most trafficked mammals.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Visit
Today is the highlight of your safari , mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After a park briefing, trek through dense rainforest to locate a habituated gorilla family. Spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants up close. In the afternoon, enjoy a community walk and visit the indigenous Batwa people. Learn about their forest heritage, traditional survival skills, music, and storytelling.

Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe or Kigali
After breakfast, transfer back to Entebbe for departure via Entebbe International Airport.
