Day to day Program
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Welcome to Uganda
Your adventure begins as you touch down at Entebbe International Airport. Our expert guide will warmly welcome you, providing essential briefings before whisking you away to your lodge, where comfort awaits.

Upon your arrival, you will be staying with us at 2 Friends Beach Hotel. It's an excellent base for getting to know the region and getting ready for the extraordinary journey ahead.
Day 2: Mabamba Swamp & Transfer Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Meet the Shoebill
Spend the morning gliding through the tranquil waters of Mabamba Swamp by boat in search of the remarkable Shoebill, a prehistoric-looking bird closely related to herons and pelicans. This serene adventure offers a rare chance to observe one of Africa’s most iconic and elusive species in its natural wetland habitat.
In the afternoon we drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This offers the rare chance to track rhinos on foot in a 7,000-hectare reserve teeming with antelope, birds, and other wildlife. Established with six relocated rhinos in 2005–06, the population has grown to over 40. As Uganda’s only place to see rhinos, Ziwa plays a vital role in their future reintroduction to national parks.

Day 3: Rhino Tracking & Murchison Falls National Park
Big 5: Rhinos & More
After breakfast, set out on a thrilling rhino-tracking walk, offering incredible photo opportunities with one of the world’s largest land animals. Afterward, we’ll depart for Murchison Falls National Park, enjoy a picnic lunch, and visit the top of the falls, where the famous Nile river surges through a narrow 7-metre gorge in a spectacular display of power and mist. If time allows, we’ll enjoy an evening game drive before heading to the lodge for the night.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park
Game Drive & Nile River Boat Safari
Awaken to the call of the wild as you embark on a
mesmerizing morning game drive through Murchison's untamed landscapes, encountering Af rica's iconic wildlife, including the renowned 'Big 5'. Later, drift along the Nile's currents on a captivating boat cruise, witnessing the grandeur of Murchison Falls and its vibrant ecosystem.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale Forest
Journey southward to the enchanting Kibale Forest, a sanctuary teeming with biodiversity. Relishing panoramic vistas of the Rwenzori Mountains, aptly named the “Mountains of the Moon”. Kibale's lush expanse harbours a diverse array of primates, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. We relax here after arrival and enjoy the sounds of the surrounding forests.

Day 6: Chimp Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Exploration
Kibale Forest
Welcome to Kibale National Park, the primate capital of East Africa and home to the world’s highest density of chimpanzees. We’ll venture into the forest for an unforgettable trek to observe these intelligent and charismatic primates up close in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through the community-managed Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a haven for wildlife and bird enthusiasts alike. Keep an eye out for up to five monkey species and a colourful array of forest birds, including the great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, yellow-spotted barbet, and blue-throated roller.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today you arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park to look for some of the many marvelous creatures that inhabit the East African savannah. Large numbers of hippo, elephant and buffalo are almost invariably seen on or around the Kazinga Channel, while grassy plains dotted with cactus-like Euphorbia trees are home to lions, leopards, hyenas and the various antelope on which they prey. Queen Elizabeth is also a fantastic birdwatching destination, thanks to a habitat diversity that allows it to support more than 600 bird species.

Day 8: Predator Tracking & Kazinga Channel Tour
Predators of Uganda
Join an exciting predator-focused game drive with a dedicated ranger who understands their movements and habits intimately. Using expert tracking skills, we will follow fresh signs and explore key areas in search of lions, and with a bit of luck, we may even spot a secretive leopard.
After the adventure on land, relax on a beautiful boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos wallow, elephants and buffalo gather at the water’s edge, and a wonderful variety of birdlife can be seen along the shores.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today is a travel day as we make our way from Queen Elizabeth National Park to the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to one of Africa’s greatest wildlife experiences: gorilla trekking. This stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site is celebrated for its mist- covered mountains, rich biodiversity, and as the refuge for nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, along with rare species such as L’Hoest’s monkey, forest elephants, and over 350 bird species.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

There are few more iconic wildlife experiences than
trekking in search of mountain gorillas. These soulful
creatures and the remarkable landscape they inhabit are worth every second that you walk through the forest to find them.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of local communities, gaining insights into their traditional way of life.

Day 11: Pangolin Conservation Experience & Lake Bunyonyi
Pangolin Rescue Center
Another major highlight on our itinerary will be visiting the Pangolin Rescue Center on our way to Lake Bunyonyi. There, you will learn about the critically endangered Pangolin, the world’s most trafficked mammal, as well as the incredible conservation work being done to help protect this species. The center is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing pangolins back into the wild. Please note only wildlife professionals will be handling animals.
At Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest last in Africa, we will enjoy a boat ride to the famous punishment Island. The lake is known for its scenic beauty, bird life, and tranquil surroundings.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo
While Lake Mburo National Park may not be known as a classic Big Five destination, it offers an incredible variety of wildlife and natural beauty. Though elephants and rhinos are not found here and lions are only occasionally seen, other predators such as leopards and spotted hyenas are regular visitors. The park’s rolling acacia-covered hills and valleys are alive with giraffe, zebra, buffalo, impala, waterbuck, bushbuck, and many other grazers and browsers. In its network of lakes and wetlands, animals such as hippos, crocodiles, and a rich diversity of birds flourish, making Lake Mburo a vibrant and rewarding place to explore.

Day 13: Boat Cruise & Night Drive around Mburo
Nocturnal Wildlife
After breakfast we venture out to go Shoebill tracking near the local community around lake Mburo, followed by a boat trip on the lake in the afternoon. Lake Mburo is one of the 2 national parks with plains zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, so walking safaris are possible. After dinner, head for a night game drive where we might get a chance to see the nocturnal wildlife not yet seen on this trip. With great anticipation of seeing leopard, spotted hyenas, owls, civets, and many more.

Day 14: Departure Day from Entebbe
Final Day
Savor a final Nature walk at dawn, bidding farewell to Lake Mburo's natural splendor. En route back to Entebbe, pause for picturesque snapshots at the Equator before concluding your remarkable journey at Entebbe International Airport. We have no doubt that you have enjoyed an incredible safari in Uganda, but sadly it now comes to an end. We wish you a safe onward journey and look forward to seeing you again next time you go on safari.
